Ryan is an award winning documentary Photographer who spends his day processing film and printing fine art prints for an independent photographic lab in Cheltenham. Ryan's passion for photography is focused between portraiture and social documentary using traditional and modern processes to create professional work for archival print and book formats. Having developed his perspective through political and humanitarian projects he has created perspectives from global issues to local sub-culture topics. Notably, venturing into the depths of the migrant crisis in Calais, France in 2016 and exploring the HipHop scene in Cheltenham from 2018-2023.

After being published by independent magazines, websites and blogs and being featured on radio shows such as BBC, GFM and holding a talk at the Museum of Gloucester inside of the Royal Photographic Societies 162nd touring exhibition, Ryan is now focusing on creating towards professional photo books from his photographs and projects and is aiming to have them published and placed in galleries, local archives and businesses. Ryan Currently works in The Darkroom UK LTD where he is a photographic lab technician, in charge of E6, black and white film development and analogue silver gelatin printing but also digital large format photographic & giclee printing. Working in an independent printers Ryan is always surrounded by professional equipment and works towards a very high standard across all scenarios the job presents him. |
